Blakk Sabbath formed in 2017 with the intension to become the most authentic Black Sabbath tribute band the UK has ever seen. The band stormed onto the North East tribute circuit in April 2018 and within eight months played the O2 Academy in Newcastle. The group have established a reputation for recreating an authentic Black Sabbath sound and stage presentation the places them in a league of their own. Blakk Sabbath is now frequent visitors to many cities around the UK headlining at established rock venues and bikers festivals.
The band now consist of Mick Simpson on Drums, Dave Boggon on Bass, Adam James on Guitar, Rik Lambert on Vocals. The band formed due to a life long passion for Black Sabbath by Mick Simpson and Dave Boggon, who on route returning from the last ever Black Sabbath gig in February 2016, both pledged to create a Sabbath tribute on par with The Australian Pink Floyd and the Bootleg Beatles. The band initially formed with Chris Goodband on Guitar, who later left to pursue another path.
In late 2019 Blakk Sabbath recorded an album Discipulus de Sabbata: a tribute to Black Sabbath, recording their versions of Sabbath Classics using state of the art recording techniques that have enabled the music of Black Sabbath to leap from the speakers like never before.
